pink + purple = barbie dolls

Pink and purple remind me of my Barbie doll days, I used to love to pair pink and purple colours. Currently pink and purple are fav nail polish colours for summer and OPI has the shades I love. When I look at my nails, they remind me of days gone by, days I didn't have to worry about grades or my bank account. Sadly my Barbie dolls no longer exist, my younger sister came along and yanked all their heads off and drew "tattoos" on their bodies!

Zippora Off Duty

I love the rich tones in this outfit. I want her bright blue dress, the lenght is perfect. The combination of the items are just the right amount of eccentric. Her lack of makeup is just right as it lets her beauty shine through this interesting ensemble. The bright red headband is an interesting addition, its usually associated with sweaty gym workouts but with this outfit it  fits in. I’d describe this outfit as bold and quirky. Another great outfit, another reason I have a crush on this girl.

Summer Survival Kit

The family and I will be heading to Indonesia for a mini break soon. Knowing the weather there will be scorching hot and frizzy haired humid, I know packing well will be essential to survive those few days there. I started going through the list of items I consider essential to survive summer fashionably and looked to my fav IT girl  Alexa to draw inspiration from.

On weekdays, I tend to either skip breakfast or have some boring oatmeal. I have always been a fan of this girl...Julia Restoin Roitfeld, daughter of French fashionista Carine Roitfeld. She is the face of Tom Ford's fragrance Black Orchid. She knows what works for her and she knows how to work it! She's always photographed looking cool and elegant in structured peices that show off her amazing figure. Models look good skinny but I wish I had a body like hers...just the right amount of curves. She keeps her hair simple and eyes pop out with dark eye makeup or bold lip colour...just how I like it.

The side braid is great for summer as it keeps the hair off your neck and the fringe braid keeps my growing out bangs in place. It also adds some spice to an outfit!

This slim leg stretch jeans is just divine. I tried on this jeans at the Ruby boutique on High Street, Auckland and now i simply have to own it! It feel and looks amazing!I love the high waist and zipper detail at the ankles. The shade of blue is just perfect . Great to be worn in summer with crop tops and a bow in my hair!
